Consumer found a Craigslist advertisement that was offering a dog for sale. Consumer reached out to the seller and paid the seller $255 via paypal for the dog. The seller was then supposed to send the dog to the consumer via airplane. This never occurred. When the consumer did not receive the dog they reached out to the seller and the consumer was notified that they would need to send $1,020 more to the seller in order to pay for the crate that would be needed for shipment. Seller even sent a fake "invoice" with the name Express Continental Dog Transfer that was using a local university's address. Dog never existed, seller was simply trying to scam money.
