I was called from a private phone number at 8:16 am stating they were trying to serve me and when could I meet them. They gave me a "docket number" of 454670.US and said they were hired from Express Mediation Services and to call the number (Looked like a local number) 775-964-5327. I called right away and he said his name was Shawn Kaufman. I had a Bank of America card from 2005 ( I have never had a BofA card that I ever recall) and the funny part is there was a supposed authorized user I have never heard of named Sarah Mulley ( Um..red flag?) I told them I have never had a credit card with BofA and they refused to send me paperwork for the debt and said they would investigate it and call off serving me papers. I asked where the company was located and he told me Pittsburg Pennsylvania. I called an attorney right away that specializes in this sort of thing and they told me this company did not have a business license in Pennsylvania or Nevada and it sounded like a scam. I was so upset by these series of phone calls, it disrupted my work day and still has me upset. I have never seen a BofA credit card on my credit report either! They are saying it is a 3,985.00 debt and I have a 12 year old and work very hard to pay all my bills on time. This is a huge stress and I feel like an injustice if these people aren't reprimanded.
