Just got a text message about the same thing. Asking if I was interested in the role of customer service. Asked to Skype and all. I knew it was a scam when she asked to Skype at the moment. My gut was like “ why would you want to Skype right now” any real job recruiter would set up a date and time for you to discuss the role and interview you. SCAM!

Exyte Inc has employed me thru email & even had me fill out a W-4 and the usual process of a real job. I was to take on the roll of payroll. I was sent a check of $5000 to be put into my bank account (which i opened to deposit said check) Which was a chase account. Then i was told by my Human Resources manager to take these funds out of my bank and send them through USPS to someone in Iowa for training materials. I followed directions and then i was sent a checkbook by the company and was told to write a check for $8000 and have it sent as well for training materials. I wrote the check which came from the employer and the checks bank was Key Bank. Now the $8000 check was returned and chase is about to close my account. The Human resource manager has no clue what to do and is now saying that I have to come up w the funds to pay for my training materials. THIS IS A SCAM

Thank you so much for this! I was “interviewed” on skype, mind you it was not a call we were just chat messaging. I got a gut feeling from the moment she texted, I’m glad I found this! Blocked the company on the spot. Thank you so much!
