EZ Detangler fraudulently claims to be a black-owned, U.S.-based business. However I (and others) have confronted them in email and get no direct response when inquiring about the company's ownership.
Their website contains no information about business location, nor a phone number. They simply have an email and contact page.
This business is disgustingly taking advantage of the black American desire to build up their community by supporting black entrepreneurs. Not only that, in using such manipulation they are undermining the true black-owned Detangler brush by Felicia Leatherwood.
When I tried to cancel my order with them, they waited to respond to my email until after the period after which they claim the item is shipped and can't be cancelled. It is near impossible to contact them on any other terms other than email.
Within the email, they have a generic "American" sounding name for an associate and then a photo icon beneath it making it appears as if the email is not loading the associate's photo. However, if you click that icon, you find it's not truly and unloading photo because it does not open.
Lastly, completely identical EZ Detangler products can be found on Amazon at half if not more than half the price. This fraudulent company is simply rebranding products they were already selling. The only thing that is new about them is the fraudulent claim that they are a black-owned business in the U.S. They are purposely lying in their advertising to take advantage of a targeted demographic.
