Repeated support requests went unanswered. I was eventually able to contact the company via Twitter and was told that the delay was my fault for not following up! Shortly thereafter, I was blocked on Twitter. Many others have been and are currently asking for their payments on Twitter, and some mention that they have been blocked for asking about their withdrawals too.
It's not just Twitter. Reddit is also full of people complaining that this company is keeping their money. Search yourself for "ezbtc" or "ezbtccanada". Web sites that have reviews of cryptocurrency exchanges also have comments posted by users claiming that their money is gone.
The reason that I chose to sell on ezBtc was because it was and still is consistently the Canadian exchange with the best rates to sell. After talking to the president about his issues with payment, he told me that he runs a bot on his exchange, that he sets the price for the bot, and that he provides liquidity for trades. I interpret that to mean that he set a trap and bought my BitCoin with money that he did not have.
The only thing that I've received in the last 9 months from ezbtc is an amateur demand letter, claiming that I've defamed the company and made libelous statements, including in by previous BBB report (which was successfully removed by the president of ezBtc because the BBB had the city as Vancouver and the address is now in Nanaimo). Others have also received such legal threats for posting about the operation of this company as well.
