Purchased a Honda Goldwing Tryke on Facebook Market Place. Ana Turner was in the Military stationed in Omaha, Nebraska awaiting deployment, the add stated needing to sell bike before being deployed. My husband was in the military for 13 years and said this was common practice and that the military would ship one vehicle for you if being deployed so he thought this was a legitamite purchase. The purchase was to be handled through Facebook Marketplace. I was sent and invoice with all information and a picture of the Tryke, instructions on payment and the bike was to be shipped to our address to inspect and try for 5 days at which that time we could make a decision and Facebook Financial Dept would release the funds to One Ana Turner. Payment was made to Facebook Marketplace and we were to receive the bike on a trailer by Firday afternoon August 28th between 4 and 430 pm. On Thursday morning we received an email stating the bike was loaded on the trailer with 2 other vehicles and we needed to send 1000 dollars for shipping Insurance before they could send it and it would be totally refundable when they arrived. I responded back to the email and told them Ana was to pay all shipping cost and I needed a refund. I also sent Ana an email stating what Facebook Marketplace was trying to do and she replied back and said she was so sorry but the money was refundable, I told her we were not sending another penny and I needed her to contact facbook marketplace and send me a refund for the puchase of the bike. No response from Ana and no response to all of my emails to marketplace. I finally got in touch with facebook Marketplace support and they pretty much laughed in my face and told me I had been scammed and there was nothing they could do about it so i told them I was going to file a police report and they hung up on me.
