Facebook Ad Scam Reports & Reviews (14)

Clicked on a FB ad of two American women selling Judy Blues jeans. Bought some and received email confirmation and later a package tracking link. After over 30 days, link said package delivered. There was NO package. After back and forth emails to them, they still won’t refund my money. They blamed me for possibly putting in the wrong address which I didn’t. They blamed the shipping company. They offered to reship and I said no. They then offered a 40% refund because THEY lost something too. By this time, I have realized this is a complete scam. They lastly offered a 90% refund. I haven’t emailed them back because I don’t believe a word they say. I told them I would move forward with them and their website being a scam. There is so much more I could type but that would take forever.

There was an ad on Facebook for tickets for a celebration of the OKC Zoo. I purchased the tickets, but then immediately thereafter saw a post from the Zoo stating it was a scam. I have contacted my bank and so far two transactions are pending and they have canceled my debit card. The amounts are small right now $6.95 and $7.95 so hopefully it has been caught before any real damage could be done. They do however, have my name, address, email address at work, phone number, and the now defunct debit card from my bank (with the bank name, I would imagine). The information with the location and phone number of the scam was taken from what was processed at my bank.

I purchased the Infinity hoop on line through a Facebook advertisement. They charged my credit card through Sezzle. I waited 14 days to receive my package. It sat in New Jersey for 10 days then shipped. So my package was delivered but when I got home from work after 7 pm there was no package by my front door. I contacted the company 24 hrs later due too i went around to a few of my neighbors asked if they saw anything they were at work, contacted local police but they dont make police reports for anything under 300.00 and contacted the USPS reported it missing they investigated with no luck. I contacted the company and because they are located in the UK there is a time difference. Basically they told me what yo do which i already did and because it said it was delivered they would not replace it or give me a refund, period. So I now have paid for a product I did not receive and no refund, no product

I ordered an animated Halloween decoration from a Temu ad on Facebook.

I got a universal charger for cell phones. The company says the warehouse picker made a mistake. To get my refund, I have to pay to return the charger which is worth less than the cost of sending it to China. This is a classic bait and switch scheme.

The photos show what I ordered and what I got.

Stanley1913online offered a sale through Facebook to buy a Stanley cup for $15, I bought two for $29.99. I even chose my color and entered all my credit card information and shipping location. The item never came. No email was sent to very a shipping.

Purchase an item from Facebook that advertised FDNY Fire Truck Tower Ladder with working lights and sounds for $46.99. Thought it was a perfect gift for father's day since my husband is a Volunteer Fire fighter. The vendor on Facebook's page was ALS Sunnive. (Meledo Co Ltd, London, United Kingdom - company id number 11736866 - phone # 442086385417). Received an order on Tuesday, what a disappointment, in the package was Gold Cutlery Set, totally not what I ordered. That same night, I sent an email to [email protected] reporting the problem with the wrong item received. Finally, today, Thursday, received a reply back from [email protected] - same response as reported in the previous replies to send it back to: 2004, Building 5, Guangming Gangyuan, Taijiang District, Fuzhou City, Fujian Province, China. Also to pay return shipping cost. Reaching out to my credit card company to report them and hopefully get my money back. Beware of items advertised on Facebook. It's seems that China is always involved in the scams. This is not the first time misleading advertisement on Facebook ads. Why does not Facebook monitor their ads more closely?

I ordered an outfit from an ad I saw on Facebook and for the last 3 months I've gotten the runaround they said they sent the order and I never received it then when I contacted them through email they said they sent the replacement order and it was unable to be delivered which is the same story they told me when I ordered the product and I didn't get the original package now I'm demanding my money be refunded and I'm still getting excuses about the payment was unable to be processed through and that something was wrong with my card well there was nothing wrong with my card when they took my money

Ordered off of fb ad, which should have been a clue, 2 Stanley cups. Emailed seller who stated it was on its way. Finally able to use tracking number and says it was delivered to Canton, oh, although I live in Kentucky. Seller says take it up with post office. Refuses to give refund

I submitted an order through an advertisement I saw on Facebook for a Self-Watering Eco-Stained Elevated Planter Box on a buy on get one free deal, but all I received was a VERY cheap Ratchet Screwdriver set. When I contacted the service email I was asked for photographic proof of the packaging. I gave them that and then received the run around as follows: "Dear customer,

We are deeply sorry for this situation. After we double check with this, we are sorry to be informed that it was the shippers who mistook the batch of the products due to the hot sale reasons, lead to why you received the wrong item, we are really sorry for this and have a claim with the shippers.

In order to make up for your loss, negotiate with our suppliers who promise that they could resend the right item to you, but to our regret, they ask for a return of the item you received. In this case, could you please go to your local post office to ask about the return cost? Our return address is: 2004, Building 5, Guangming Gangyuan, Taijiang District, Fuzhou City, Fujian Province, China.

You can choose to get the full refund or ask for a replacement of the right item to you once the suppliers get the returned package, please offer us a picture of the delivery paper and package when you return it or provide us the tracking information online (by screenshot or picture) if you return the package.

After you post the item back and provide information requested above, we will arrange a full refund right away.

If yes, how about you keep the order or send it to your friend who can use it please, we can offer you a 40% refund of your total payment immediately, which can save the hassle of returning the item to us. If you have any different ideas, please kindly tell us and do not take further action, please believe that we can help you to solve it in a short time.

Your patience will be highly appreciated, have a nice day.

I saw a post on the Facebook marketplace for a clearance 2023 new laptop spectre. The price is $23. Then the website shows the price as $33.25. Click checkout and it changes to $29.98 plus shipping $5.99. I also saw a price of $41.25. The numbers don't match and don't add up so I did not buy it. They claim they can sell items cheap because of COVID.

- Lafayette, LA, USA

I bought a $6 face cream off a Facebook ad. I then had 3 charges from 3 different companies on 3 different dates in the amount of $199.80 post to my account. None of the companies exist.

I saw an advt while scrolling my facebook , it was from sangbit.com offering hands free automatic cat litter box in half the price USD 45. I followed the link from facebook thinking if the advt is on Facebook it must have some creditibility and made an order that costed me around CAD 69.

I got an email suggesting that order has been received by sangbit via miracle store and the item will take time to deliver as it is coming from overseas. After around 2 weeks time when I keep asking them when is the delivery date, they sent me tracking site https://www.17track.net/en and a tracking number that showed it is coming from China.

Tracking site showed NO details just that order received, item left china , item entered Canada for another 2-3 weeks

And now they claim that they have delivered the item which is a lie Because Nothing has been delivered.

I used my credit card to buy the item so they do have my credit card details and I will report to the bank as well.

Sangbit.com, Miracle store and https://www.17track.net/en scammed me using Facebook platform.
