I saw a post about available work from home positions in a Facebook group. I said I was interested and they gave me an employee ID to give to my interviewer. I was to contact the HR personnel via Zoom text. I went through the "interview" process and they came back an hour later and said I was hired. They were originally going to send me a check in the mail to cover some of the hardware and software costs I would need to do the job. They haven't even asked for me to fill out anything or give them any sensitive information about myself so I was just hoping it would work out. I don't have access to my bank so they emailed me a check to print, scan and deposit using my mobile banking app. I attempted to do all this and they hounded me about checking to see if the check had cleared. I saw red flags because again, they had none of my personal information so no way to check my background yet they sent me $2,990. I figured what would they gain by putting money into my bank? The check was rejected by the bank with an email telling me it was fraudulent. I told the man I had been corresponding with what the bank said and he immediately blocked me on Zoom text. Luckily I didn't lose any money. I'll be sure to check here before getting involved in something like that again.
