I posted an iPad for sale on Facebook Marketplace and was contacted by a guy who was interested in purchasing said item. He gave me an address to mail it to, supposedly sent money to Cash App for the purchase. Today, I received two emails from Cash App stating that I was to deposit $250 to this person and that I would then receive the payment for the purchased item. After the second attempt to receive more money from me, I began to think that this was a scam and refused to pay for the second transaction of depositing money. I still have yet to hear from Cash App and messaged the buyer to return the money I initially sent ($97). The buyer is now unreachable, I have lost #97 and I am currently trying to stop shipping of the item being sold. I feel as if Cash App is an unsafe application to be used. I also feel that Cash App should be removed from being able to be downloaded so this doesn't happen to someone else. And it is going to cost me $100 more to intercept this package.
