After I realized I had been scammed I called my bank - chase bank informed me that they would do nothing to help with this since technically I authorized the payments. I called zelle, they also do nothing to help. I informed them that people are creating fake zelle notification emails and impersonating zelle and coercing their users into sending money directly to criminals, though their tactics make it look like this money is sent to zelle to verify the account. They did not care or offer any assistance.
This person is still out there scamming others because there is no one from zelle or from chase bank that is willing to protect honest, hardworking individuals like myself who trust their money with these companies. Chase bank and zelle are both promoting and protecting scammers by doing nothing to deter these scammers from stealing from other individuals when people report scam to them.
