I was looking for an apartment and the girl reached out to me to clean when she was like a lease agent and she was helping me get the apartment then on 27 September I had called the apartment to see what was going on and why I haven’t got my keys and they told me that nothing was paid for nothing went through and I was just waiting for nothing. The girl told me that she was like a sublease engagement as well. This is my first apartment so I didn’t know subleasing was a real thing so I went with the idea after the after the 27th I called my bank and told him that she was trying to scam me because she never paid for anything and she might not put my money even though she said that she worked for the company

Said she was a leasing agent for greystar

My roommates and I are looking for a new apartment. After searching on Facebook Marketplace, I found a post about a house at 520 S Shoshone St, Denver, CO. I contacting the person whom created the post and received a link for an application. We submitted an application and paid $50 each, for a total of $150. Afterward, we received a phony lease agreement to be signed and a request to deposit $2150 to cashapp or zelle account. The scammer then requested my SSN and asked me to upload my ID to the IRS ID database under a phony email address, and I mistakingly complied. When we requested to view the property, the scammer asked for an additional $150, which concerned us. My roommate drove by the property and saw people still living in the house. After learning this, I contacted the would-be landlord and haven't been contacted since. This happened yesterday, June 23rd, 2023

I saw an ad on Facebook from Judy Phillips that she was showing rental homes in Belgrade and Butte, MT for $900. She sent pictures and the homes looked amazing. I tried to call her but all she would do is Facebook chat or audio call. She had a Nigel Phillips call me about the rental but I felt that this was a scam so I told them I would contact the police and then they hung up.

Answered an ad on Facebook Marketplace for a house for rent. We went to the house to view it. He texted us the code to get in. We filled out an app online and he called the next day saying we were approved and if we paid 3 months in advance we could get a month free. We did some research and found out it was a scam so we locked down our debit card and checking account so he wasn't able to get money from us. We are hoping this will help others not to be scammed from these people
