I listed couch for sale on Facebook Marketplace. Ben inboxed me immediately and accepted the price. Asked for my email address to pay through Zelle and I provided it. Told me his son would come pick up couch. Then told me to check my email for payment confirmation. It was in my junk mail. Ben inboxed again saying I needed to upgrade to business account and he would refund me the extra $450 that is required. I checked my Zelle account and Ben had not paid. That triggered me to look up a possible scam.

Ordered a product which took forever then received wrong product and trying to send back has been a nightmare. Offered me $6.00 and keep the product, finally gave me an address that seems to not be a real address or on file. Numerous complaints about the same type of problem with this company. They are ripping people off and when you receive your product it is very sketchy from an entirely different address and just says Andy for who it is from. No phone numbers and no invoice and no contact whatsoever.

Used FB Marketplace - one of the Jeep Groups that Im associated with. Had a set of trail doors that I wanted but have also been looking for new tires to go on the Jeep. I asked if they had a location, was told Yes, Jasper, Ga. I was going to drive up and pick them up but she (amber Watts) said she would ship them to me at her cost. Shortly after using Zelle to pay for the wheels, tires, and trail doors I received an email from a shipping company (globallogistic.site) asking for me to pay for insurance that would be returned upon delivery of goods (98.4%) other 1.6 was for fess. I used Zelle again but this time paid Kevin Harvell ([email protected]). Once payment was confirmed I then received another email asking for $1000 (500 for a clearance fee and 500 for state fee). The numbers used for this next transaction was 773-997-5557 and the number the shipping agent was using is 270-207-3384. Of course by this time I had done a lot more research and chatting back and forth with the seller (Amber Watts - [email protected] or [email protected]). Told her that if it was 100% refundable upon delivery then she should pay it so that I could get the parts that I had already purchased. She said that she would pay half (of course) I asked why not all.

I’m out one weeks hard earned money of pay and not about to be out 2 weeks with overtime!!! Just kindly give me my money back for something I have yet to receive. If not then… I will be reporting this incident to Facebook, Jasper PD, our local folks down here. Especially since it bank and credit card fraud across state lines. Once again, I’m not dropping any more of my money. If you’re so confident in the 100% of money being returned (you did say you’d covering shipping cost) then by all means you pay. Then when delivered you’ll get all your money back. I’m 1550 bucks into it and have zero items to show for it. I’ve notified a few of the Jeep parts groups regarding you and all the parties currently involved in this horrible transaction. My faith has run aground and will chalk this up as “becoming a statistic!” I’ve taught Sailors and my own kids not to fall for certain things and yet I’ve falling prey myself. The administrator of the Facebook page is listed as Zakiyyah Bilal. The site is used for people to exchange tickets, but the administrator is a scammer. After you send money he will block you from the page. After a family member investigated the page they saw others who were scammed by this same administrator.

Found a car 0n Facebook marketplace. A nadine gibbons contacted me via messanger. I was given a spot to meet a man with the car i was going to purchase. I paid him via cashapp for the car. Once he left the car wouldn't start or go into gear. I attempted to get a refund through cashapp and he declined it. I reached out to him via his phone number and his Facebook and was blocked on both.

Ms.Bell contacted me through messenger saying that for through cash app that I can make money by doing what she called cash glitch where you can make money more charge and how the money goes on your cash app right away. She said that I do $120 for $5,500 for Bitcoin and I did and I haven’t received anything and she kept saying pay this fee and you’ll get $7,000 I paid $82 on August 30,2023 and still haven’t received nothing. I have everything saved in my email also on her Facebook feed she says and show how it supposed to be a cash app glitch and how you can get paid. She has three Facebook pages but I am friends with her first page.

Ashuntee Anderson, sent me a message on Facebook messenger claiming to have a wholesale flat screen TV business. He sold me a 75' inch Vizio and a day later it shattered into pieces. When I communicated that with him, he blocked me and refused to assist me further.

After placing an add to sell children’s toys, I was contacted by a potential buyer who said they needed to verify the sale by checking my phone number they asked me for the verification code they texted to my phone number. It sent me a link for google voice activation. I’m worried they have stolen my identity.

Facebook ad 12 pounds of Maine lobster tails for $59.98. Placed order on 06/09/2023. Said company double posted and sent my order to someone else. They recognized their mistake and told me to wait 10 days. After being told 3 times to wait 10 days (that is a total of 30 days) and still have not received my order or refund. I advised I would file a complaint

Scheduled a photography session with Danielle Caldwell (photographer) on 04/29/2023 for 07/09/2023. I paid $150 "session fee" upfront that was to secure my time scheduled and was to include venue, makeup and fifteen images. Danielle Caldwell sent a text the morning of the appointment to cancel because of car trouble. I offered to help with a ride to the venue, to which I got no response. I am not available for the day/time she asked to postpone so I requested a refund and she repeatedly said she could not give a refund because she didn't have the money. She stated she had already spent the money given to her so she has no money to refund.

Danielle Caldwell has posted several times on our community Facebook group to advertise her business and has many clients who say they have been scammed out of their session fee.

I paid for a service that was scheduled and never provided.

I ordered a cup from the website advertised as Stanley on Facebook. It says that the cup was delivered in Ohio and that a missing mail search was initiated. I live in Florida, so it wasn’t even close. I have emailed the email that they provide [email protected] several times requesting a refund with no response.

I often purchase clothes from Bloom Chic. A flash sale popped up on my Facebook on 4th of July weekend. I wanted to take advantage of the sale so I purchased several items thinking it was Bloom Chic. I found out later it was not. I received an email confirmation and charge on my credit card from sweetbabymo which I never heard of. Their website looks very similar to Bloom Chic. I believe I was scammed.

The scammer attempted to sell me a pinball machine seen on line and provide free delivery in two days. They had a hard time charging my credit card. Purchase was declined by my credit card company, thankfully. Could not make formal contact by phone number provided after agreed to amount of purchase.
