My Facebook account was hacked over a year and a half ago. People were starting to get messages and requests from that account again. So I went on Facebook help center and found the phone number given. When I called the first thing they had me do was look up my ip address. As some sort of test they had me transfer $100 to Boss Payment. When I protested they assured me the funds would be placed right back into my account. Then they proceeded to tell me that my ip address had been compromised and people were opening accounts and loans in my name. Then they had me download any desk to walk me through securing my ip address. Next thing I know they say they are setting a trap for the people who were stealing my identity. They proceeded to transfer money from my bank account to cash app and pay pal. Trying to make purchases on amazon and sending money to this company Gincinfotechllc as well as a few others. Wire transfers to India and Kenya, which were declined. Trying to make me believe it was working. They kept me on the phone daily for a week until I got fed up and told them that all I wanted was for the Facebook account to be deleted because I no longer had control over it.

They charged my credit card, PayPal, cash app and zelle with invoices for web design and services that I neither requested nor received. My credit card company has been able to reverse the transactions (prayerfully for good). But the cash I cannot recoup because the bank and cash app claim that the proper procedures were taken to make the transfers. So I’m out over $5,000.
