On Facebook I found a website and thought it was Dick's Sporting Goods I bought a pair of HOKA shoes and it was then looking like I bought it from from a Dick’s warehouse in Missouri. We conversed through email and they kept giving me tracking numbers but I couldn’t get them to work. I still have the emails. It has been a month and I still have no shoes.

***** ******* made a post in my St. Louis moms group advertising discounted air duct cleaning. Claimed it was for unlimited vents, would show before and after pics, said they were bonded and insured, etc. scheduled me for Tues. a man showed up and hooked up the portable until to one vent on our main level. Left in 45 mins. No pics were shown. Husband was told vents were pretty clean. I followed up with her asking why all the vents weren’t cleaned, where the pics were, why it didn’t take long even though our house is 4k sq feet with multiple vents. She only said the cleaning time depends on the dirt level in the vents and that’s it. She didn’t answer my other questions and has ignored me since Tuesday. I called and left a message for them and they won’t call me back.

The company says it ships from China, and looks like a perfectly crafted website ( they're getting better and better) however I have 2 shipping/tracking numbers and neither one of them can be found when trying to track, one last stated on the 18th it went from china to JFK and then back to china, another one stated it is being shipped from Ireland, Its almost impossible now to find out which companys are scams as they have all their bases covered.

I paid for a trip in February in the amount of $749.01 to Guadalajara Mexico which I never received tickets for. She kept telling me until the last minute that everything was in order. Then the morning I was supposed to fly out she said it didn’t go through. I also put a deposit of $209 in Mar h for a trip to London that I requested be canceled due to my prior experience. After further investigation, there are now over 20 people with the same circumstances and over $100,000 paid to her for which she has not provided the services.

A friend recommended a grant website that helps retired & elderly people. After contacting it, it felt like a scam. Agent Janice Eberly sent a message via Facebook messenger saying that I need to pay the first $2000 to cover the case, security and delivery fees. It needed to be sent and delivered via fed ex. I said I needed time. I received a message that I should give them what I have and use part of the $100,000 to pay it when Fed Ex delivers me the grant. Who gives Fed Ex cash? I didn't do it.

Likemychoice is a company through Facebook selling clothing and accessories. I ordered a dress and the fabric was very cheap, not like what was pictured. I tried to get them to refund me . They had me take pictures of the dress and send them to the email they provided. I have not worn the dress at all. It's in original packaging. They came back in the email 24 hours later saying they could not refund me, when the refund policy says online they offer refunds. I tried calling them today and the representative wont give me a shipping address to ship it back. She said she couldn't disclose that information. This company is a scam. They are sending out cheap quality clothing when in the picture it looks very high quality for 54.00. If they are doing this to hundreds of people imagine how many are being scammed. I bought the dress on payments through shop pay and need to alert them next. Please do something to prevent these kinds of companies from scamming U.S. citizens. I cannot get a physical address for them. The address from uniuni, a shipping warehouse, is out of Vernon, California. The person I called today tried to tell me there's no address just online shopping, which has to be a lie. They should be banned from Facebook and any other means of selling their cheap products!!

I contacted the so-called business via Facebook messenger (as they are a FB group). I told them the size of tank I wanted -- 500 Gallon propane tank, above ground. They responded with a price of $1500 delivered. Then I was told "We accept payment through Cash app, Zelle, Apple Pay, and Chime." I used Zelle for sending them the initial deposit of $500. Then they needed information for the paperwork -- "I will be needing some info from you like. Full name...... Address........ Phone number....... Email address........ And a down payment of $500 which covers the following. Accessories$200(regulator and gas line) Paperwork $100 Delivery $200. Then we agreed upon the 15th of June for the delivery. 1st payment was to Zelle - 7343411215 - Noah Turner. Then on the day of the delivery, I was asked for the $500 with "Zelle details for the insurance coverage" - 6302697457 - Name: bingham. Then I got asked for some additional fee -- "Hello we are at Gainesville and you're required to pay a city permit and clearance fee amounting to $300. This is the final payment you'll be making and it is refundable upon delivery. the clearance fee amounting to $200 and city permit $200 amounting to $100. This fee is needed to clear custom at the check point by the authorities for your tank and necessary freight documents such as the city permit document (C.T. D), declaration on route clearance document (D.R.D)because your tank must be stamped and approve by the custom check officers. NOTE They will issue a bill document ( C.T.D) and (D.R.D). This documents will be made available to you at our post office. This documents will be used by you for months to carry out your shipments and will not be task for it after 3months. We are waiting for your humble reply. So that your tank can be released and you have it delivered thank you" Then another message a little while later for additional fund due to some "taxes" -- "The only reason you have not received your tank is because of state Taxes that has to be cleared. This mail is to inform you that upon inspection of your tank by the state tax department before your package gets into your state, a tax of $500 has been assessed based on the contents of your tank. However, as this tax has not yet been paid to the state, it remains refundable under certain conditions. Since this condition have been meet it makes your Taxes refundable upon delivery. Conditions meet Insurance documents. Since your tank carrier all this documentation this fee is refundable. Ones this Taxes is Cleared you will receive your tank. The state tax assessed is as follows: State Tax Code XYZ-1000 Tax Amount: $500 Reason: Contents subject to 10% taxable goods rate. Refund to be made upon delivery : $459.99 Let us know when your ready to proceed with with is payment so you get your tank within the following hours. If you have any questions regarding this tax, and how to clear it please contact the customer service. Thanks." Then I get a message like this -- "Hey! I’m sorry but I’m not sure we will be able to make it today. Our truck just broke down." Then I get a message like this -- "We’ve got some issue coming up, we will have to refund all of your money as we can’t proceed on getting this deal done at this point. You can write our manager through number (323) 909-2731" Then the next day, I get this message -- "We are pleased to inform you that your kept your tank secured and discreet for 20hours giving a total accomodation fee of $500. Our policy demands that all dues be paid before we complete the shipment. Kindly pay the accommodation fee as soon as possible so we complete your shipment in today and your best time which perfectly works for you . Note: THIS ACCOMMODATION FEE IS 100% refundable in the time of delivery arrival to ensure it goes to the rightful sender and owner .You are also reminded of the necessity to keep all your screenshot proves of insurance fee payment as we also have copies of them in our company to secure you and you’ll be in charge to remind our egents on delivery Thanks for your kind comprehension." Then I get a message via text from the manager saying there is an incorrect name on the paperwork, and it will cost $1000 to correct it. -- "Sorry! Manager says you would only have to proceed by sending the $1000 which would be refundable by our company when delivery is done. Should I tell them to proceed on delivery?" I ask for an assurance for delivery and they respond with -- "Yes! 100% guarantee. They would be there by 11am if I call and tell them to proceed. But manager says before that, the $1000 deposit would be needed to clear tank dues on Thompson’s name." After this point, they make up more excuses and want another $500 for another accommodation fee. So, I put my foot down and say 'NO'. I contact their manager via text and say it's not happening. I am out of money and my Zelle account has been locked. So, their manager then they offer me a refund of everything I have paid. They want me to contact them on the 30th to have the refund processed. (Why am I having to contact them, so it definitely sounds like a scam).
