I was looking for online part-time jobs through Indeed where I ended up with various search assistance services including CarrerBuilder which I believe is the site it came through seemed above board but I checked out the company who was a fascinating huge company. Scammer(s) was/were good! I had to download a messaging app I was unfamiliar with. All contact was through this app. I had to check in every morning by 8am for tasks to start. One day was accepting an email with your normal employment forms: four page job offer with more about when the company was founded, benefits, etc that I had to sign and send back along with I-9 and W-4. Next day we discussed training materials I thought due to my several comments about not having a very good laptop nor all the software (cost Microsoft Office, DocuSign, PDF Filler etc. they priority express mailed a check with which to buy the training materials needed and keep $310 for sign on bonus. I got the check next day and took it the bank to have verified. The bank the Official Check was from was real but could not verify the check. I was done. Now I’m worried about my private information which they now have and signatures.
