Type of a scam Employment
the next morning (today) they said they will fed ex a check to me in the morning (tomorrow) and i should use that to purchase the laptop and office equipment they listed in signal text. I asked to speak with someone from Human resources, they said I could and when i pressed for a phone number and email for their hr, they have not responded for over two hours. I proceeded to go online to look for scan alerts and found this as a likely scam where they send a fraudulent check, and i would likely be asked to return a portion of the funds. I am unsure if they will even send the fraudulent check as they have not responded but if they do, my bank (who i called next) said to not cash it that it is a scan and they said i should anticipate a check and to be asked for some money to be sent back as an overpayment would have been to me.. I wanted to alert this ScamPulse.com and ive also called my state attorneys office. this is unconscionable. How do people sleep at night scamming others?!
