Got a call from "DOM POWER" and was told it was the disconnection department. I was told I had an unpaid balance, and payment was due in 5-10 minutes or I would face disconnection. She gave me a phone number to call where I was supposed to pay. I was flustered and shocked! I asked for my account number because I didn't have it with me. She said she didn't have access to that information because it was an "outgoing call." I called the number she gave me, but something seemed off and I hung up on the guy as he was asking for my info. (I remembered that Dominion Power had a really annoying voice recognition system, but this number I called didn't have it. Additionally I had just gone through my bills that morning and saw that we actually had a credit on our account. )

So I hung up and called the number on our actual bill - and YUP voice recognition system! No dissconection notice! These guys are total scammers!

I called back the number the scammer lady gave and tried entering the touchtone number for "Downed Power lines" but got connected to the "Billing" department again. This number is not for the real Dominion Power, even though it shows up like that on caller ID. TOTAL SCAM.
