... What's interesting about this is that I think it's the same Verification Code as two week ago. Can the scammer be caught by tracing this verification code? Also, Novocure is a real company that seems to have Israeli ties, and I'm concerned that an anti-Semitic or even terrorist organization is targeting Novocure, not only making money for the scammers, but slowing down Novocure's operations and impacting their operating costs by having to deal with this scam.
I was drawn into this scam when I received the text about two weeks ago... I logged into the Zoom meeting, and the "interview" was conducted via messaging over Zoom. The person posed as Ashley Manzo and asked a question or two at a time, which caused a buildup of expectation in me. Fortunately, I'd have to wait 2-3 minutes for a reply, and during those minutes, I clicked around online. Ashley Manzo does work in HR for Novocure, and she has posted a warning on her LinkedIn site about this scam. I saw her message and discontinued the conversation with the scammer. We did not get far enough that the scammer asked for my personal info; they were really trying to make it look real, I guess, and build up excitement in the person being scammed. My concern is that this person is still trying this scam two weeks later, and a legitimate business is being impacted with extra administrative costs.
