Unknown person(s) posted a listing for the above location that they do not own the rights to. I was advised by person(s) via text to meet at the above listed location for a viewing of the house as I was inquiring about renting the property. The person (s) and I agreed to meet at the above location at 1400 hours, when I arrived the person (s) was not on the property. They stated over the phone that they were running behind. I was approached by the Willoughby Police department who stated that the house has been involved in several scams. The Officer stated the house would be posted on a site, stating it is available for renting. They would schedule a viewing for the property and will not be present when at the agreed upon time. They would call the person who is coming out to the property and advise them that they can enter the home and if they like they can fill out an application with also paying the application fee. Following they would remove the listing and end contact with the customer.
