Scammer emailed the billing email of our business and forwarded the email as if they were the business owner multiple times. They mimicked the way the owner usually emails the business address and the way she requests to pay bills. They sent a regular looking invoice with banking information along with a W9 form like a regular vendor sent. The email did not come from the business owner. The W9 had false information upon further review. They used a law office address. We began to process the payment but were able to cancel due to a payment processor and not making a direct payment.
