What type of asset(s) have been affected: The person is pretending to be us and fishing for invoices that need to be paid from companies we work with. He's targeting the accounting department of various companies. The email in question: [email protected]
What was the impact: as of now, nothing. We are sending out emails to try and prevent anyone from falling for the scam.
Is the situation under control: we are terrified one of our customers might fall for this. We are in the flooring industry so the amount of money on these invoices could be in the $100,000 range.
