I received a call from a man named Kevin Cruz who claim to be working for OneMain financial and tell me I have been approved for a loan which I did apply for online a few days before. He begin asking questions about my address, bank account, SSN and job which all seemed legit after asking questions of my own. He said I had been approved but I just needed to contact his lending officer at a completely different number and area code. Everything was fine until the told me that I had to pay a $100 insurance fee which I did because I really needed the money and he said he had to transfer me to Bank of America. Once there the said they needed $250 and I became frustrated because it didn’t make any sense that they wanted me to keep sending money a I told them I didn’t want to continue with the loan anymore and the said I had already gave they sensitive information and it would be smarter to continue. After deep thought, though I didn’t trust it, I sent $250 to a Chime account he had me send the $100 to which was $Ajah-Leonard. He said that I could now get the loan and they would close the case. After being transferred to someone who sounded just like him with the heavy Indian accent, they told me there was a red flag on my SSN so they couldn’t send the loan unless I sent $450 to the same Chime account I got really irritated and told them I didn’t want to do any further with the loan and I wanted my money back. He said if I wanted my money back I would have to pay $100 to Chime for them to close the account. After more than an hour of fighting I told them I didn’t even care about the money no more I just no longer wanted to be contacted by them. Kevin started threatening me saying he has my SSN and he will not be able to close my account and remove my information until I pay him and if I didn’t I will remain at risk. I told him I had already closed my bank account and put a freeze on my credit until I can do everything to protect myself and my SSN. Please stay away from them. They contacted me initially from a (330)344- I don’t remember the last 4 and everything else was over (347)201-6126
