Email said my subscription for GS~Tech 23 is up for renewal and I had 24hrs to cancel. Called the number and explained I didn’t order this and don’t own a computer and was told it would be cancelled and then got hung up on

I was contacted via email by someone posing as McAfee security pretending to auto-renew security for a long-owned laptop. When I called the 1800 number to inquire about the email, which already seemed suspicious, the person explained the security supposedly auto-renewed at a range of 5-10 years. They repeatedly asked me to turn on my computer and follow their instructions which I would not do. When I inquired further, they hung up.
