On March 17, 2025 I received a text claiming that I had an outstanding EZ pass toll balance. When I clicked the link, I entered my debit card information but no transactions went through. On April 10, 2025, I was contacted by someone claiming to work for the FDIC and WSFS Bank. They told me my bank information was compromised and took my bank information. They then tried to get me to transfer funds to Apple Pay, get cash advances from my bank, and to use Zelle. They claimed they were doing a reverse transaction.

On April 6th 2025 I received a text from phone number +554597601-7463. The message read " Final Reminder: Toll Paymemt Deadline approaching. Your outstanding tolls are due by April 7th 25. Failure to pay would result in Vehicle Registration Suspension Financial penalties Damaged Credit Score. Https://cutt.ly/fraXyiF2?MfA=Tn1Pb1 Please pay now to avoid consequences." I initially avoided the message when it came in on April 6th in the afternoon but I clicked the link just being curious. The website had Easy Pass' logo in the top left corner of the website and it included a pic of what looks like a Tolling point with cars on a four laned highway. I recently used easypass 2 weeks prior the incident. So on April 8th i decided to click the link and it prompted for debit card payment. As soon as I submitted my payment of $2.73 the transaction failed oddly. So I tried to submit and it faild again !. I went into my online banking and switched the card off. On April 9th i recieved a text from number 803-430-0405 " My Bank alerts- did you di a purchase of $651.07 at Costco Supercenter Miami Fl if valid reply Yes if not No " I responded -NO. Then the same number proceeds to call me and pretends that he is an fraud specialist from my bank. I said why are you calling me he said there are some fraudulent alerts on my account and have i been checking my account activities. He proceeds to ask about the Transaction at Costco for $651.07. I said no that wasnt me and he asked me to confirm the account that the transaction occured. I gave him the number trusting that this i happening. He placed me on hold for three minutes then hung up. This is when my spirit looked at me and said to myself you're really stupid for doing all this. I got an email before the phone call but I didnt read it because of work. The email was from my bank saying that there were attempts to change my online banking user id. I went right to my bank to close my accout and opened a new one.

They have sent multiple messages saying that i have unpaid bills/ tolls that have “ outstanding balance” the link doesn’t appear to be available until u respond to the message. I will leave one of the full
