Fake warrant scam Reports & Reviews (1)

- West Palm Beach, FL, USA • Jan 30, 2025

The person called claiming to be a Palm beach County Sherriff. They left a message saying they were with the court services division. They said it was urgent but a non-emergency and called back.

I looked the "officer" up on LinkedIn and they had a profile, so I assumed it was ok to call back. I called back and he stated I had missed a court appearance that I was to be a witness for and that I could potentially have a warrant out for my arrest. I stated this possibly could not be true and asked if I got the certified mail. I said no and he stated my address for me to verify it. I did and confirmed my husband’s name. I said I wanted to clear this up right away and I would come to the police station. He gave me the Sherriff’s address and I went to the Sheriff’s office to find out it was a scam.

As of Jan 25, 2025, I have received no postal mail. I am assuming they forward my mail to their address.
