In March of 2018 I began Financing a car with Credit Acceptance as the lender. In December of 2018 I was in a no fault accident and the car was considered to be a total loss. Credit Acceptance received funds from the insurance company payout, from NY GAP Insurance, and from the cancellation of the extended warranty. Despite this - they deliberately decided to only apply a portion of the Gap Insurance Payout to the Loan and did the same with the Extended Warranty Cancellation calling the part they decided to apply "Rebates". They also retroactively deleted payment history from my Credit Report which I have been able to prove through my Credit Karma history. They've been more than compensated for the $8,929 loan - yet have been destroying my credit for 7 years now alleging I still owe them $3,367 which is literally FRAUD. Do not use this company they are shady and should be sued.
