We initially called the company to get a diagnostic about our ac unit. Since it was the beginning of the fall, I was not interested in fixing anything and the three different people (myself, my mother, and my aunt) that the service technicians and the office spoke to all reinforced this as well as the fact that one of the people (my mother) who owns the home has dementia and is not the decision maker in regarding the house, that the other homeowner is the decision maker. They came out to the house and looked at the ac unit for a few minutes, did not tough anything, just briefly looked at the current setup and equipment. They told us a few things that could possibly be wrong with it but very quickly changed to trying to sell us replacements for our ac unit, furnace, and water heater through an "insurance" plan. My aunt and my mother both reminded them that no decisions were being made at the moment and that they would need to speak to me (the other homeowner and decision maker). The two technicians called me and repeated what they told my mother and aunt about the ac unit and then quickly shifted to again trying to sell me replacements for our ac unit, furnace, and water heater through their in house "insurance" plan. I took notes about the "insurance" plan and reminded them that no decisions were being made at this time.

The "insurance" plan they tried to sell me was a 10-15 year "membership plan" where they would replace all three units (ac unit, furnace, and water heater) and then replace the filters, and clean the appliances at a reduced rate as needed, as well as 24/7 availability for service calls on broken and faulty products. This program/insurance plan or what ever they want to call it would cost over $45,000 over the 10 year period where replacing all three units at every other company I called in the aera cost AT MOST $14,000. This plan that they market and every other plan they market is an absolute scam, why would someone need to have 24/7 availability in service calls on products and were brand new? Even within the 10-15 years you may have the membership you should not need that level of urgent service on new units, maybe if the units were 20+ years old.

Regardless of the absolutely outrageous price for these scams they market as "insurance" plans or membership plans, their sales tactics go farther than just simply being unethical. After multiple times of myself, my aunt and my mother herself who has dementia that no one will be signing anything, agreeing to anything, or purchasing anything at this time they tricked my confused and incapacitated mother into signing up for the "insurance" plans or "membership" plan regardless of everyone explaining nothing was going to happen at that time and that my mother couldn't even agree to any contract anyways because of her dementia. At this time I had no idea that they tricked my mother into signing anything that day but they called me the next day to ask what my decision was, where I again told them no decisions were made yet and to give us time and I will reach out to them with a decision. I ended up not choosing their company and going with another company instead however a few months later Falso Service Experts came to me with multiple past due bills not only for the "insurance" plans or "membership" plan but also service bills where no services were preformed. I called multiple times afterwards explaining the situation where each person I spoke to had a different answer but in the end agreed that the bill was to be taken care of by another person in the office and they would call me back with the resolution. They never called me back and eventually after multiple calls spanning across several weeks, they finally informed me that they did trick my incapacitated mother into signing a contract for their "insurance" plans or "membership" plan. I again for the umpteenth time explained the situation and reiterated that my mother cannot makes those types of decisions and that I as her POA as well as the other homeowner, am the only one who has that authority.

Since then, I have stopped calling and instead I have sent multiple emails explaining the whole situation with screenshots of the conversations about not making any decisions as well as the specific people where I have tirelessly explained that my mother cannot make decisions and sign into contracts because she has dementia. For months now my emails where I highlight this grossly unethical business practices have gone unanswered.

It is one thing to offer essentially long term grossly expensive pay day loans for ac units, furnaces, and water heaters, but its another thing to knowingly and purposely trick an elderly women who has dementia into signing something she is completely confused about AFTER herself and two other people explaining that she has dementia and cannot make decisions. Additionally the fact that my aunt was there the entire time with my mother while the technicians were there, and they still knowingly and deceptively distracted my aunt to talk to my mom alone is absolutely disgustingly unethical and wrong.
