Type of a scam Online Purchase
However I still proceeded to pay for my Crocs. I also noticed that the shipping cost was different than what it stated on the website because the website stated that shipping is free. I still proceeded to pay and the order was complete. I received a confirmation email that I didn't recognize from the real Crocs website. The email had a foreign tracking number and I also received a text message that was foreign as well. I did not click on the tracking numbers located in my email or phone because it did not look right. It wasn't with a company like UPS or anything that would have that similar tracking number. I knew then that I may have been scammed.
So I checked my bank account, nothing out of the ordinary. I also checked my PayPal account, nothing different. So I emailed the customer service because there was no way to call that I wanted to cancel my order because I thought I was scammed. I received a message 3 weeks later that my order was already shipped that I can keep the product when I receive it and I will be refunded. I replied back to the email that it is OK. So I received my Crocs in the mail a month later, I opened the package which seems to be in foreign packaging not like Crocs and received the wrong order. I immediately emailed the company again because I was guaranteed that if the order is incorrect, contact them asap. Did not get a response until this month in October and I have been corresponding with them back and forth to send my correct product. A customer service rep with the name Terry Rhodes stated they will give me a 25% refund but the website states that they will do a full refund. I replied back to state that I don't want a refund, I want the correct order. Terry replied back the next day stated that she needed the money because she is helping her siblings and her parents and that she doesn't want to be fired. I replied back stating that I understand, keep the money but send the correct order of the Crocs I want. The same representative replied back moments later asking if I would accept a 25% refund and that the warehouse is out of stock of the Croc that I originally ordered. So today, I replied that the website states that I will receive a full refund. The representative responded faster than usual that "a full refund under special circumstances because the shipping cost and time cost are high". Now I am completed in belief that I have been scammed.
