As part of a $100 Wal-Mart gift card give away, you are enticed to take a brief survey. Upon completion of the survey you are requested to purchase a nominal gift or service to receive the gift card. In mid June 2019, I mistakenly provided billing information for the shipping cost ($5.99) for the cheap watch. On 3 July 2019, I checked my banking account and found a hold for $94.88 from an unknown source, after calling my bank the agent provided the toll free number associated with the transaction for "fashionwatchesdirect4you.com". Upon contacting said company the call center agent stated I failed to contact them within 10 days per the agreement to cancel their "services." This scam realizes most people filter emails to spam folders, I had no inclination or direction to cancel within a certain time frame. All I received was an email confirming the shipping costs. To make matters worse... the call center agent stated if I had not noticed the transaction and called in to complain I would have continued to pay $94.88 indefinitely for a cheap, flimsy Chinese made watch that may have cost $3.00 to manufacture.
