Mistakenly filed State of Information thru Fastfilings on 3/21/24. Paid ridiculous expensive fees $69 and State of Information fee $25 for total of $94 and thinking State of Information will update instantly. Bank checked and no updates so I had to log into sos website to pay the State of Information fee $20 to update instantly which requested by the bank. Sent email to Fastfilings on 3/21/24 to cancel the transaction. Fastfilings.com refused to cancel and refund the transaction but proceed to process the transaction on 3/22/24. This is a scam and has no refund of business for customers. It's ridiculous expensive $94 for getting the State of Information. SCAM AND RIP OFF!

They pass themselves off as an official government website then the second they get your money they say there are no refunds no matter what, even if they never provide the service you paid for. They are snotty and unprofessional when you try to contact them.

I was looking to apply for a business license online in Los Angeles. I thought that this company worked for the City of Los Angeles. However, they do not. They charged me and then sent me fraudulent documents advising that I use these for my business.

This is what they charged me, according to their confirmation email (I deleted my name.):

Thank you for using FastFilings.com to set up your Los Angeles Business Tax Registration Certificate (commonly referred to as a city business license). Your order number is L969127391

Los Angeles Business Registration Certificate filing: $119.95

Government fees:

Add ons? $59.80 | Please process business EIN - $59.80

Total Processing Fees: 179.75

However, it is impossible for them to have obtained an official Los Angeles Business License because the only ways to apply for an LA Business license is by coming in person, having a virtual appointment, or completing a signed form and sending it via their email address [email protected].

I went to the Van Nuys Civic Center, 6262 Van Nuys Blvd., Suite 110 and obtained my official license for free. Moreover, I obtained my EIN number from the IRS for free. It was an immediate online process.

Fast Filings sent me fraudulent documents via e-mail and advised that I post their fake document as my business license and that I use an EIN number they provided, as if it supersedes the EIN number the IRS already assigned. I have the official IRS notice CP 575 G that shows my assigned EIN number and the official Business Tax Registration Certificate from the City of Los Angeles, Office of Finance. I obtained them both for free. Moreover to obtain my EIN number it was a legitimate, free, fast, and immediate process online. FastFilings charged me $57 advertising that it is online and immediate, as if it is not fast and immediate with the IRS.

So they charged me $179.75 for a bogus license document and probably a fictitious EIN number and misguided me to post this bogus document as an official business license. If I had followed their guidance of posting their bogus business license, I would be engaging in fraudulent behavior, as well.

They are refusing to reimburse me. I contacted my credit card company and they said that they cannot dispute it until the charge goes through.
