They scammed me into unknowingly allowing them into my federal student aid account and they changed my password and collected 1299$ processing fee and told me I was going to save 267k in my student loans. I am so worried and upset. They said the government doesn’t advertise this program because it helps people too much and that my income driven payment was what they calculates to be 1 percent of my income instead of ten. They didn’t know who my service provider would be and told me that I would be receiving multiple communication from my loan services and to ignore them-people probably default thinking this company is helping them

I was told that if i put my phone # in to this website for income driven student loan forgiveness that a representative from the company would reach out to me to qoute me on monthly payments, etc. Overall, the plan he set forth for me sounded very legit and very good from a financial standpoint (lower monthly payment, forgiven loan amount, etc). He told me there was a "Processing Fee" for doing this and said I could either pay the full amount now or have it divided up into 2 payments. I paid for the full amount and after researching into the "company" as well as calling Federal Student Aid I realized what was happening was fraud. I had to call my bank and cancel my card that they charged $699 to and change every bit of info i had on my Federal Student Aid account. They ALSO put in a application to consolidate my outstanding loan debt under my name to a servicer i no longer use. I cancelled the request and alerted that servicers as well we the Federal Student Aid customer support team, who walked me through everything to do, including the info about this so called "representative" that actually was scamming me. I called again once i realized the scam i had entered into and no one answered the phone from this company. I did not leave a voicemail or any type of message that would tell the company i called but within a couple minutes the same representative "Alex" called me back and asked me why I called. Which i found very strange since it was the same rep i spoke to before and they called me back without any voicemail.

I was made to believe my student loans would be less monthly if I signed up for their program. I requested info online from Student aid.org from this (what looked to be legit) company about repaying college loans. after submitting my application, they informed me that the phone number that I'd see on my phone would start with a *** area code. I answered the call when they called. I was very skeptical at first, but the man on the other end (****) stated he completely understood my concerns and that he was happy to answer all my questions. He made me feel better about it and had my hopes up that my loan payment would go from the large amount I was paying now, down to $101/month for 20 years, and the federal government would forgive the remaining balance through the William D Ford forgiveness program. He really had me convinced! He requested $500 to get the process going. or one payment would be taken out 2 weeks from the other. I even received an email from them after i requested confirmation for the process to require an application fee. at that point, I felt it was a scam. He had personal info and more info was requested. I feel completely violated during this pandemic. These people must be stopped! email address sent from Fed-Pro Team ([email protected])
