I have approximately 87 phone numbers on my cell phone of callers who claim to be Medicare, debt consolidation, credit card offers, student loan collectors, misc other things that are so vague it is attempt to make me curious so I call back. I have sometimes received these at 11pm, as early as 5am. It is all day sometimes as much as every hour. Also the number will redial and immediately call again so it calls me 2-3 times in a row. I have never spoken with anyone, only voicemails. I feel somewhat that this started happening after I posted my resume online and especially after the student loan thing or the credit agency leak. I will most likely change my number soon because my cell phone rings constantly like a business phone would. Another experience I had with this that is terrible. I sat with a hospice client as a volunteer in her home. She received calls from this Medicare fraud several times an hour. She was slowly dying from a brain tumor, her husband was her only support and family didn't visit. There is always the hope someone would call. It is hard to describe the incredible loneliness that she felt sitting in that house listening to the incessant phone calls from these crooks, leaving messages and when they didn't leave a message her answering machine makes a dial tone when they hang up. They are ruining and contributing to the sadness of people's lasts days on this earth. Absolutely horrible that she had to go through the death from a brain tumor and listen to the phone ring with haggling [censored]s leaving messages of despair. Why should dying people have to be tormented like this? I don't want to be either, less people have landlines because of this huge problem and I believe this puts people's lives in danger because they can't call 911 immediately when they rely on their cell phone. This picture of phone numbers are only a fraction of what I have.
