I received a message on Facebook from my aunt saying she received a Coronavirus Compensation grant of $30,000 and she asked me if I was gonna apply. I asked her how to do that and she sent me a link for a woman named Colleen Carter. I clicked on it and the woman started messaging me about the grant. She said it was a federal grant that never had to be payed back and was tax free. She asked for my full name, age, marital status, if I was deaf or hearing, my income, address, and a photo of my drivers license. I was leary to give this info but my aunt is an honest woman and she assured me it was a sure thing. So, I gave this woman my info. Then she she verified the info and said I was approved. This was when she gave me a list of money chooses starting at 500. If I payed a shipping fee of $500 I would receive the $30,000. The more money you sent the more money you would get back. This was when I knew it must be a scam. I went to my bank and they told me this was probably a scam, so, I got on this website and look it up. I didnt find this scam but I found some to simillar to ignore. I told this Colleen Carter woman what I'd done and that iwasnt going to send any money until I spoke with my aunt in person and she varified that she was the person I was talking to. The profile for Colleen Carter was instantly removed from my messaging app. I didnt loose any money but this person does have my personal info.
