I received a call from Dave with the Federal Government offing a grant for $13,500 but I had to pay $200 for processing and it will be refunded. I was told to visit Walmart and purchase a gift card and load the $200 and call him back with gift account number. I did not buy the gift card and called the BBB.

caller said this was about tax deficiency and tax fraud. Ignoring the message would be a second attempt to avoid federal law and to contact the federal agent at 616-513-5574

I received a call from 315-510-9829 stating I was approved for a $11k Government grant tax free. They wanted me to buy a $250 Google Play card to process. I went ahead and bought the card and gave them the numbers on the card. Then they told me to call 347-948-8616 and they would process my check but when I got on the phone with him he said I needed another $750 for taxes. I said no and hung up..

Received a call from Daniel Bryant Badge #901638859 claiming to be with the Federal Government indicating that may Social Security Number has shown up in a money laundering scheme in the State of Texas. I was instructed to withdraw money from my bank account in the amount of 500.00 & put it on a Google Card. Once I did this they would reissue me a new Social Security number.

This number calls and has an automated message to call back to the exact same number to receive your grant over some sum of about $9000. I called to have the number removed, the girl didn't say anything and then hung up on me. I called back 3 more times for her to hang up on me. When she finally answered again she asked why I kept calling? I told her I wanted to make sure that my number was removed. She hung up again. I called back and got a new person, this time a man. After I told him I wanted my number removed, he said but why. Then continued to argue with me how he wasn't going to remove my number and why do I keep calling them. He hung up and I called back. He then said they wouldn't stop calling or remove my number.

I got a phone call from an individual named Sam from phone number 585-300-4278 Ext. 102. He explained that I qualified for a one time government grant for $9000. I was receiving this grant because I was never a criminal with no bankruptcy and an outstanding citizen. He said the money was coming from the federal govt. section 3 ARRA, American Recovery Reinvestment Act. I was given a managers phone number to call and an approval ID. 315-221-9028. He claimed that this was not a loan and it never had to be paid back and it would not be taxed. I had to call his manager to further get the money. I did not call...

After a pause in answering, a man with a foreign accent called me by name and offered my a government grant. I informed him that I would report it as a scam and did not listen to the rest of the message.

I received a message from what was supposed to be my brother in law on facebook messenger that he had received a grant and I qualified too. If I purchased a $100 ITune Card I would receive $120,000 dollars. I purchased the card and then they sent me a copy of a certificate and a web link to verify it was real. Then they wanted me to get another $500 of ITune cards. Then I stopped I didn't have any more money to give. And I contacted the ScamPulse.com because I knew it was not real. I know I won't get my money back but I want people to know about what happened.

Ok so one *** *** contacted me about offer and gave me contact info(# and name)5173051467 name A *** *** when he wanted certain info I became Leary already suspicious but wanted to check out never let it get to point of them askin for money wasn't giving personal info

Told me I was to receive a government grant of $9000 that I didn't have to pay back and I could use it for anything and gave me an grant ID number and told me to call 855-998-2677 to claim my money and I could pick it up within 15 minutes at Walmart as a money order.

Consumer called:

We just got a call from an 848 number that is from NJ saying they are from the federal government. 9,758 if I put 100 in than they will owe me 9858 dollars. They wanted me to go to Safeway and get gift cards. I just wanted to put this out here so people don't get caught in their scheme.

I received a phone call claiming there the federal government saying they been trying to get hold of me to transfer $9000 in to my account and to call them back! So i called and told them i know that there scammers and not to call me again. And they guy told me yes i was right and they would call me every day.

I received a phone call telling me that I was chosen for a $9000 government grant that would not need to be paid back. Since I just had a roof issue that cost $9000, I hoped that this was true. I was told to go to Walmart and follow thier directions.

Foolishly I did and ended up sending them $850 they asked for more and I refused to give them more. They tell me that they will give me all of my money back when I send them the extra 500. NO way, I finally woke up to the scam

A person called from 206-472-6032, they said i was chosen to receive $7000.00 free grant money from the federal government.To call 518-621-5912 to receive the money by direct deposit into my bank account or by Money Gram or Western Union. Then before you can get the money a refundable $250.00 has to be sent to them to verify your identity. I did not sent them any money, but I hope nobody else does.

I got a call from someone 3 different times who said the federal government wanted to give me a $9000 grant. They said I would just have to send $250 via Western Union. They asked me where the nearest one to me was, (which is Walmart) and then said once I get to the parking lot to call them back and they would give me additional instructions. The caller told me not to call them from inside the store. I knew it was a scam because you never have to send money to get money.
