On April 22, 2024, I received a message from ([email protected]) that I was accepted to work for the marketing internship position, online work, and I conducted the interview on April 26, 2024 with the recruiter Name and email (Patrick Anderson and email: [email protected]) through Microsoft Teams by text, and it seemed very suspicious to me at first, but I thought that this is how the interview is done these days and it seemed to me a very good chance to work, after the interview I was offered the company's official contract in which was marked with the name and surname of Human Resources Angela Demerly and during this period I spoke only with Patrick Anderson and so far we agreed that he would send me a check to buy the work materials that I would work on, to be deposited in my account and then to pay through Zelle the seller who would buy me the work materials ... Here is a listing of the materials and software you will generally be working with Excel, Minitab, Databases SQL & SQLite, Quickbooks, Stata, MATLAB, Tableau, Python or R, SAP, SAS, Alteryx, and Power BI. An Apple laptop or any other company-recommended computer for your daily operations and also a 4-in-one (fax, scanner, copier, and printer). On May 20, I made the first deposit in the amount of 1340 dollars with account number ********* ********* ****** ****** at first the money was not transferred to me, but it was returned, (I said to myself fine it happened sometime) but at the 2-nd moment he sent me again the check on June 6, 2024, I made the deposit and then tomorrow, June 7, I had to send money through Zelle in the amount of 500 dollars to the seller who was assigned to me, by the name of Rhonda Meadows and by email [email protected] and the check I analyzed was in Georgia from Robert Wilkin with an address of 1817 Old Club Rd. Macon, GA 31210 and there were 3 checks with the amount of 980 dollars each, and at that moment I sent the money through Zelle and that same day after 5-6 hours it turned out that the check was returned and the amount of 500 dollars from my account was deducted and I also wrote Patrick Anderson, what's going on, the check came back and he said he doesn't know what's going on and I understand you're very frustrated, just like me, but it seems there's a problem, and in the end, the money was stolen. I wanted to make this report to stop this phenomenon that is affecting many students around the world and to catch these fraudsters.
