An individual posing as my Facebook friend messaged me urging me to apply for a free government grant. They gave me the Facebook link to apply. I happily applied, fully believing that it was my friend that I was communicating with. They said they applied and got the money. After continued communication with both the fake friend (***** ************ - which actually generated from Instagram - ***** *********), I began to get suspicious. But it was too late. I'd already given them everything: social security number, mine and my husband's drivers license, name of my bank, our income, address, cell phone number, etc. Since then, after backing out, I have been receiving several text messages from both the Grant individual and their supposed customer service representative (cell phone number: 774.974.0675) as well as Facebook messages from '*****'. Far more disturbing, are the three phone calls and one email that I received so far from people posing as Amazon representatives asking for approval of purchases of an iPhone, a Samsung Galaxy phone, and some purchase of $999 supposedly coming from Texas and Florida. None of those were valid. I believe they were trying to trick me into giving more information.

The one phone caller told me to go online and download something from AweSun.com. After I did it, they wanted me to read the number that was generated. At that point, I told them that Amazon did not show up on my caller ID. They 'stole' a local number belonging to ****** ******. I immediately called Amazon. I called them after each claim of an Amazon purchase. They verified that none of it was true. Nothing shows up in my orders. Here is the email that was sent by someone. Note how authentic it looks. They also used the Amazon logo, but it's a graphic so I can't include it here.
