"Dear XXXXX XXXX! I am Niall Garner, Reserving Analyst at Fidelis Insurance Group. This is to update you that we received your job application through Maverick TV on ZipRecruiter for the Remote Live Chat Agent position, You have been scheduled for an online job briefing & interview today, Monday 13th of March. Kindly reply to this message with "ACTIVE" for further information once you get this message. Have a wonderful day ahead. Thank you!"
I replied Active and they set up a Zoom chat interview. The fake Mike Pearson ( I called him fake because there is a Mike Pearson that works for the Real company) asked me some questions and after that said I was hired. The questions were sent ten minutes or more between each set of questions. He later asked me if I was familiar with certain soft wares. He told me I was hired and I was going to receive the Acceptance letter via email.
I asked him the next morning where was the email and he said the IT team said it was due to downtime that they were currently experiencing with the domain server that I have not received the paperwork yet. He said he was going to send it via chat.
Red flags went up when I saw the price of the software I needed to install and he later claimed I would not have to purchase it. When he mentioned about downtime and sending the paperwork via chat I knew something was wrong. He said their company is in Bermuda. When I checked online that is true but I could not find any American workers.
During the Chat interview, he did not answer my questions right away. It seemed like I had to wait 20 to 30 minutes for an answer.
