On September 26th I was contacted on Linkedin by Zakeia L. Thomas, someone I attended college with, about an opportunity with a company called Field Agent, INC. I completed the application and a week and a half later I was contacted by Gary Blanton saying that I had been accepted for the position and that I would be receiving an assignment via email or postal mail. Following this I received an envelop in the mail with the return address to a Cody Luchterhand in Addison, Tx. the contents of the envelope was an assignment from GARY BLANTON and 3 money orders from a purchaser with the address 2455 Robinson Rd. in Grand Prairie Tx of $985 a piece totaling $2955. My initial thoughts was to call the merchant helpline for the issuing Bank BB&T and check and see if all was good. The routing numbers matched the bank and the helpline said there was enough money to cover. The Funds were broken down as $2600 for the secret shopping trip to purchase 2 gift cards from the Apple Store closest to me with a list of questions about the experience, $45 for a Personal Money Order to the American Cancer Society and $10 to cover the costs of the money order and send photos of the front and back to info@americancancerfundsnet, and [email protected] neither belong to the American Cancer Society. The remaining $300 was to be my pay for the assignment. Luck for me I am a BB&T account holder so I took to Money Orders in to my branch to have them examined since the merchant line cleared them. Upon intial looks the teller could tell they didn't look right so she check and then she was like oh they are real but we decided to take one more step and called issuing branch and once we emailed them copies they verified that they were indeed fake. The fonts did not match any fonts that they used which is what raised the initial response from the teller at my branch. These people are using the website for a legitimate company in their advertising and all but addresses do not match. Even in the Email from Gary Blanton the Address and the Link to the address do not match if you click the link to the address it takes you to an address 800 South Douglas Road  Suite 450  Coral Gables, FL 33134 which is definitely not in New York.
