Type of a scam Identity Theft
- They have stolen the attorney identities (name, education, bar #) of 6 California attorneys,
- They are posing as these attorneys, and claiming they work for this (false) lawfirm, using the email of: atty.[lastname]@ffaslaw.com ,
- They are sending attachments, puported to be legal documents to support their fraudulent story (these appear to be forgeries to me).
The story they tell their targets is is typical "investment recovery fraud" but with a lawfirm/legal twist: that they can "recover" money, but claim a bond is required before the attorney can recover - this is not how US law works, even if they actually were attorneys, working for a real lawfirm, with genuine court orders.
