This person claimed to be an insurance agency that could cover my license expenses and get me licensed in my state. They asked for a card on file to hold my background check and “books” I never received, as well as access to some online portal. I made sure to notify ***** that the card on file was simply a hold for the “membership” he was very vague about. I told him I would notify him if it was something I was interested in being involved in full time. He said it was fine and that my card would not be charged. I have a witness to the entire conversation. Now he wants to pretend like our conversation never happened, and that the only way to make sure the card on file is not charged, is to send a money order instead. I would never have agreed to put a card on file if another form of payment is required. The dishonesty and fraudulent card charges should be illegal on their behalf. I have documented proof of written communications if needed. Please advise.
