Type of a scam Debt Collections
Got call on 3/7/24 from Joan of Financial Collection Services stating we had unpaid bill from 8/2/22 from company called Alliance Diagnostics for husband’s blood work. The caller provided an invoice number but refused to give any further info such as name of ordering physician, location of lab, type of test. Also said could not resend invoice. Demanded payment by phone $482.43 or my voice on a recording stating I wanted this to be sent to claims court. I asked her to put our case on hold while we looked into it. Whion phone with Joan my husband looked up Alliance Diagnostic and their only locations are in Brooklyn NY. NOT OUR STATE. My husband checked with his dr and there’s no record of blood tests done on date provided. This is a scam. Call came from computer generated number 808-470-5872. Said call back number 808-481-3373. Our search online shows many people are receiving similar calls from Alliance Diagnostics from different locations asking for very similar dollar amounts.
