i received a letter from a secret shopper company to deposit a check of $2400 (included) and that i had instructions to purchase gift cards at Walmart for a certain amount. afterwards i had instructions to send them all the details pertaining to the gift cards, i.e. account numbers and pin numbers. i thought it sounded to good to be true so a quick google search brought up others that have fallen for it. The scary thing is that it looks legit, even the check looks real.

I like many others received the priority mail sent check and letter telling me to post it in my bank and then once it clears go ahead and buy the Walmart gift cards, scratch off the back and send photos to a cell phone number with all the codes clearly visible, this has to be the worst thing someone could do to people who are struggling and $400 for this simple job doesn't seem at all difficult right!!!

Don't get caught up guys ... the bank you put the check in to will take that money right back from you .... meanwhile the scammer has used that gift card to make online purchases. They are essentially asking you to help them steal from YOU ... seeing as your bank will make YOU pay it back.

They wanted me to cash or deposit this check into my account and then go to Walmart and make a Purchase of five Walmart gift cards for $400 per Walmart gift card which adds up to two grand and Walmart gift card and scratch off the silver backing and send photos of front and back of gift cards to the email and I would also get paid $420 for doing this assignment and as soon as that was done two days later I would get another assignment and a bonus and was told to hold on to the gift cards because they would be used on the second assignment
