This fund sends out mailers requesting donations and they say they are a non profit. The website does not contain much info. It appears to be similar to the national police support fund. It's appalling that people use public safety as a ploy to get money. I am a firefighter. My dry cleaner asked me if I had heard of the organization. I told him I had not but I'll research it. He said they called recently and wanted him to double his last donation and we're pushy about it. It says on the website in small writing at the bottom that it's not tax deductible but they claim to be a non profit. I personally think this kid is using this money to pay for his education. Please investigate. Thank you.
