My Aunt received a notice in the mail from “FireFighters Rights PAC” billing her for a donation they say she previously committed to. The only contact information for the “organization” is a post office box. There is no phone number, no website address and I was unable to locate any such organization by this name when I searched through Google. My Aunt is 90 years old but still very sharp mentally. I fear this is one of those scams that targets the elderly.

My mother got the same thing. I saw the letter from the Firefighters Rights PAC that said $15 is due (because she committed to a donation on the phone). The only web address I was able to find on the letter was a site for paying the money, nothing else.
