We were contacted by this company to purchase a sales ad on either a magnet or dry erase board. We were told we would be the only restoration company. The advertisement would be put in goody bags given to children at all local Elementary public schools during fire awareness week. They told us the the local county fire dept was going to all elementary schools and setting up fire trucks and informing students of fire safety. So after speaking with them i decided that i would call the local Chief and see when these events were being held. We would like to be there for a few of the different schools. He says they aren't doing anything like this. So i called the company back and asked who their point of contact was and he said the guy who handled that was on vacation and would be calling me with that information. He never called of course. They called the office again 3 weeks later saying they just wanted to touch base because we showed interest in the sale. Which we did until we realized it was a scam. I explained to him that i had looked into it with our fire dept and told him he was just a scam. He said that they were deal with the county not city. I told him that was fine i contacted both Chief's. He said that he could have the gentleman (who never called the last time) contact me with his point of contact. I also informed him that the company he worked for was on the ScamPulse.com for scamming but just under a different company name. He told me to have a great day and hung up!! If you look on the ScamPulse.com site they are listed under Firehouse Promotions Inc Tel # (309) 277-0893. That number isn't listed on their new site. They have 2 additional numbers on their website (Florida) (386)259-5126 and (California) (707)401-0010.
