A technician named Ben came to my home by appointment, from this company to clean my chimney. He upped the price from the initial offer of $99 to $700 saying my chimney was very dirty and needed an expensive chemical cleaning. I negotiated it down to $500 which he assured me was a very competitive price. The cleaning took no more than 15 minutes and he left with trash bags of ‘toxic debris’ from my chimney. I later called a number of other local chimney cleaning companies for peace of mind and explained what happened. All of them said that the amount I was charged was way too much and furthermore there is no chemical cleaning that would be applied so quickly. It is a multi step process which takes more than 2 hours to apply and is a multi step process, requiring me to burn a fire in the hearth and their return to check and reapply the chemicals. None of them could explain what could have been in the trash bags as it made no sense. I immediately called the company and was told a manager would call me back which didn’t happen. I called several times and after explaining my concerns the number stopped answering and then stopped working all together. I called the other number on the website and after several attempts talked to a young woman who said she was a manager. She was rude and had no explanation of the process or Chemicals they used. She eventually hung up on me. I later called the website number on my daughters phone and when I asked yet another person for their business address I was hung up on again. I then called the original number again using my daughter’s phone and got a completely different companies answer machine. On hanging up a completely different number called my daughters phone and it was fire prevention services calling back. I asked for information regarding their company and she hung up. All the phone numbers had plus signs in front of them suggesting they were hijacked numbers possibly from outside of the country.
