I have tried to verify the Company, 1ST Merchant Network or First Merchant Network, 1000 N WEST STREET. STE. 600, WILMINTON, DL 19810. Not able to find any information on this company. The customer service number given was 1-855-409-8868. On 9-28-17, Richard Baker, called with an employment opportunity to 60 Day Trial, No cost to me. Because of my good credit standing with Visa, Master card, Discover or American Express I'm eligible for this program. The job is to send names and addresses of companies of small business that use credit card payments in my area. They will do the calling and offer 2% fees where most are paying 3-7%. In return they will give me $500.00 per company that I refer that signs up with First Merchant and 1% of the fees collected, of each company that signs up with them. Monday the secretary will assign a coaching partner who will have a web page to set up on my computer to keep track of the addresses I send them and the ones that sign up. He said our conversation was recorded because of the Federal Regulations. For my protection and theirs. Wanted my address to send my check to. My email address to set up the web site. To get started needed a credit card to verify my good standing with atleast 2,000.00 of credit limit not used. I gave him one, with expiration date. But he did not ask for the code on the back of card. Wanted my last four of Social Security, I told him not giving that to him. He would need it for sending my checks. Told him no. He would have to ask his manager if he could sign me up without Social. He got approval and his manager would verify the information given, which he came on the phone to verify my address and information. I'm not sure if they are a scam, but when I called the customer service department today. No company name given, just a message to leave for 2400 not available. Please help me.... I am afraid this is a scam and they have my credit card, address, they asked for my date of birth and I gave it.
