Type of a scam Advance Fee Loan

I received several calls from *** more than a half dozen with leaving voicemail. I was curious and called the number back. The man who answered the phone asked if I was looking for a loan. I said yes. He asked how much. I answered $1000. He said "that's not possible" and abruptly hung up. I tried calling back immediately and got no answer. About 15 minutes later they called again saying I had been approved for a loan of a minimum $2500 and maximum of $10,000 with 12 to 24 months to repay. I asked for the lowest amount. He asked for some basic facts about my income, last four of my social, email address etc. Then he told me he would transfer me to the loan manager to verify the info I had given him. A man who called himself *** *** asked the same questions as the guy before him. He began to tell me that before the funds were released I would have to pay a PPI of $200 to a third party. He explained it was repayment insurance. I received an email contract with the terms and conditions of the loan soon after the call. It had lots of typos. I knew from the outset it was a scam. Someone truly desperate may have fallen for that trick. The company name used is *** *** *** *** ** *** **
