Scammer sent text message about account in collection and asked to call in regard to the account. My mom called and they told her they had her name which was her maiden name, current address and last four of SSN. She did not provide any further information. A week or two after, they sent a letter to the house requesting she call in regard to the collection. Initial creditor is Pay Pal but she does not have a PayPal account and this is not reported on her credit report.
