Type of a scam Moving
I have talked to a manager and 3 different customer service agents: Jack, Jen, Angela, etc. The "manager" yelled at me over the phone, I explained to him that I cancelled within 48hrs and would like to have my money back, he said the check wasn't clear yet and he couldn't give me my money back. I called my bank and the check was cleared and Priority Van Lines had the money.
Since then I have called them almost every morning to check on my refund and every time they give a different excuse of why they have not given me the refund; however each time they explain that they will send out the check that day. On September 6th they told me they USED the money to pay the drivers which I didn't use and they couldn't give the money because of that. On the moving day establish on our cancelled contract I got a phone call from a sub contracted moving company saying that they were on their way to my house to pick up my furniture and that they were late, but they would be there. First Priority Van Lines had failed to tell them that the contract had been cancelled 3 weeks prior and we had to tell them not to come.
I’ve been calling them and have made no progress on getting my deposit back it's been 2 months.
